An Exciting Year ahead

Over the past four years, we have experienced immense growth, reflected in the quality of our wines and in international recognition. We realize, with each person we meet, the power of sharing our unique family history. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to preserve precious memories by bringing them to life through each wine and mead we create.

Anyone who is familiar with our winery knows that we are a very small team running the day to day operations. Three years ago I was the only full-time employee. We’ve worked really hard over the past several years to create a business that could sustain full-time employees and allow us to continue to grow as a business. As we head into 2025, we are excited to be adding one more person to our team! 

Introducing, our first ever Tasting Room Manager/Sales Manager, Christian Orr! Christian has over twenty years of experience managing liquor stores in the Westminster-Baltimore area. In those settings he used to purchase our wines from my grandparents, and when I first worked as a distributor in the wine industry, he purchased wines from me as well.

During interviews, my grandmother and I felt that Christian’s enthusiasm, motivation, and thoughtfulness would help us take our sales to the next level, including future expansion plans. From Christian: “I'm incredibly excited to be joining the team at Loew Vineyards! I'm inspired by the story of their founder William Loew and I've been impressed with the direction Rachel has taken the company since she took over. I look forward to being a part of this new and exciting chapter of their legacy!”

Christian will start with us mid-month. He is looking forward to meeting all of you—and we’re looking forward to having you meet him, too.

What a beautiful journey we’ve had together so far, and to think, the best is yet to come.
