Come Over (in) October
Wine is meant to be shared. When you have a dinner party or have friends over, I can bet that there is at least one person who brings a bottle of wine to your house.
In the Loew family, as one would assume, wine is an essential fixture at our gatherings with friends and families, holidays, and other occasions. My earliest memories of holidays with my family were highlighted by vintage bottles of my grandfather’s wines. It was special for all of us.
Recently, we had the opportunity to represent Maryland wine, pouring our Malbec and Mazal (sparkling red) at Longworth House Office Building in Washington, DC to help launch an initiative called Come Over October. This project was founded by wine journalist Karen MacNeil—and wine public relations and communications veterans Gino Coangelo and Kimberly Noelle Charles.
It was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy wines represented from all 50 states, see old industry friends, and meet important industry professionals. We all have the same incentive to promote and celebrate wine. A major highlight was that we received major praise from those who tried our wines. I was so excited to meet Karen MacNeil. She is a legendary wine writer (author of Wine Bible). She loved Mazal! It is a gratifying feeling knowing that important figures in this industry resonate with what we are doing here in our small section of Maryland.
So, we invite you this October (and beyond) to come over to the winery with friends or enjoy our wines wherever you gather.
